How can I accpet payment from an online auction, other than PAYPAL?

Author: admin  |  Category: Online auction

I use ebay a lot and think that paypal charges to much for their services. Is there another option for auction payments?

Please, be very careful with Paypal, they hijack customer’s money for 180 days
so they can day-trade it and put the profit in their own pockets.
So they usually use "Money on hold" or "suspicious activities" as an excuse to use their customer’s money.

Please check this out, and please notice that they advertise another product. Since I don’t know this product and I don’t know anyone who does you should distrust it too.

If you have a complaint, it doesn’t hurt that you write it here:

This is a blog, former Paypal employee speaks:

TV report about Paypal (there are many):

Good luck and please let other’s know about these obscure practices.

Hopefuly somebody in the congress will help the people who are being affected by this monopoly.

Paypal doesn’t charge that much fees when it compares with other credit card payment companies. Paypal also has a fairly high SSL system that most of your customers trust.

You can ask for cashier check or personal check, yet it slows down your business process and you have to go to bank for it.

People pay for convenient by the way.

if your account is "personal account", paypal doesnt charge. They only charge you fees if youre upgraded to premier/business.

I agree though, it is a ripoff. But theyre partnered with ebay now so ebay is going to keep paypal as the main online payment source.

only other options really are money order or personal check.

If you will accept a check, do not ship until it clears the bank and you have the cash in your hands, so many checks bounce and if you’ve shipped the item, you’re out of luck. Happens a lot.
