No, do not send product until you have CASH, not a balance in hand. You should wait 21 business days for international checks to clear. It is very likely you are being scammed.

If you release product to buyer, how sure are you that they will release payment. Unless you have some way to verify the buyer’s credit worthiness, I would accept nothing short of cash.

It Depends on how collectable they are, if they are true antiques or highly collectables like old German or French bisque the best bet may be Theriaults auctions. There is another auction house for dolls, McMasters but I beleive Therialts gets better prices as it is the most popular. If mostly vinyl or the collector dolls like from Asbury mint or those types then ebay is best probably. Are we talking a computer that is only going to be used for eBay auctions, or are you thinking about starting an online auction website?

Just about any computer you can buy new will handle setting up eBay auctions, but to actually run a website that handles auctions requires something a bit more sophisticated. I’d look into Dell or HP’s server selection. You won’t need top of the line server hardware when you’re just starting out, but as your webpage becomes more popular, you’ll need more servers. It’s not really a factor of how powerful each server is so much as if you have enough to support how many users you have. Each server can support a certain number of users based on how much data your website needs to load (which is why sites with tons of users like eBay and Google have very simple interfaces), and how powerful the hardware that the server has inside it is. Obviously more powerful servers can handle more users, but you will almost always want to simply add another server onto your current bank than replace your old one.
