Will the Toyota recall effect the price of Camrys bought at the car auction?

Im in the market for a new car and I have a friend looking at the Detroit Auto Auction for 2008 Toyota Camry. But with this huge recall Toyota has what will happen to the prices? Will they go down because of it or will they increase? And will I even be able to buy a Camry at the auction because Toyota stopped the sale of them from all dealers? Thanks!

As a car dealer I can tell you as of an hour ago, MMR (auction) has pulled them from the auction lists

    You can buy one, but with their poor integration with little concern for your safety, letting their fuel pedal over ride your brakes, with there ability to not tell the truth of the problem saying it was the mats when they knew of the issue before the mat recall… why would you buy Toyota?

    I would expect very little or no difference in the price whatsoever. Toyota will pay for the needed repair. Toyota is only stopping car sales of the affected models at their dealers. You will still be able to buy used ones everywhere else.

    dealers have no durasdiction over auctions.!so you aint goin to get a bargin.

    with the recall, the auctioneers might pull them from the auction, if they dont then i would think you could get a great deal on one
