There are a couple of good auto auctions you can go to. Mahiem is pretty good put a lot of people go there and drive up the price during bidding. The amount is less then $1000.00. Is it unusual to require a form of payment other than a personal check?
Anyone accepting a personal check for a private sale for as car usually will want something that is guaranteed such as cash or money order. The seller runs the risk of selling his car and giving the buyer a title to the car before the check clears or finds out the check is no good. It’s just as easy to go to your own bank and cash your own check and give the seller the payment form he wants. Especially if he doesn’t know you.

Cars are usually not returnable. Especially used ones. You can try to sell it & hopefully it’s still available. That’s a long shot.
im used to cars on the streets with FOR SALE signs but in boise i dont see any.

If your looking for a car and you know 100% what you want then use www.autotrader.com with autotrader you can find what car you want down to the color.
