Hi Blair –
Check out Bid4Assets…you can bid on property, land, and all sorts of other stuff.
Hope this helps!

Yes and No……………….
1. You need to have someone with you or hire a mechanic to look at the car.
2. You can save alot on these cars.
3. You get what you pay for.
4. All sales are final, no returns.

Used cars for sale
I just got a job at a convenience story working part-time at minimum wage so I don’t have any money right now and I won’t have enough for several months. I’m wondering if anyone has a car for sale or knows of a good car store in the garland/dallas area in texas. I’m only interested in hearing about cars that I would be able to afford. Preferably no more than $1,000.
here you are

Online auction
I want to set up a website to compete with sites like Amazon.com and textbooks100.com ,ubid and ebay. How expensive would it be and what types of software are required?
It is hard to do if you are a beginner.
However you have 2 options:
1- Get it designed by a reliable company.
My recommended company: http://www.martstreet.com
2- Create it yourself.
My recommended service: http://www.threehosts.com/business/3rd

Auto auction
I need to know the process and if the cars are worth buying from there.
I have gone a few times and there is a lot of junk there, but there is usually a few good deals. You have to get there before 9:45 to register so you can go in the gate. The auction is usually over by noon and you have to have the vehicle off the lot by the next day. The vehicles don’t have the keys so you cant start them, and you have to get a key made after the auction. If you have any more questions, let me know.

You walk into the auction and say "Id like to register". They give you a form, you fill it out and you are registered.

Used cars for sale
I’m looking for used car websites, other then cars.com, autotrader.com, autoshopper.com, craigslist.com. I live in NJ so it has to be within the USA. Thanks!
Cars.com sucks. Autotrader sucks in maybe half of markets.
Craigslist is far and away the best.
Ebay has VASTLY improved their search in terms of searching geographically. (There are still some problems with narrowing searches…like you can’t browse a category and then narrow the search with keywords…because the keywords will actually EXPAND the search) So that’s actually an option for NORMAL cars now.
Kijiji.com is kind of like Craigslist, but more flashy, and less popular.
Also look at websites of local newspapers and browse the classifieds online.

an also how much bandwidth would be required to run an auction that just handle auction sales within the United States only.
Are we talking a computer that is only going to be used for eBay auctions, or are you thinking about starting an online auction website?
Just about any computer you can buy new will handle setting up eBay auctions, but to actually run a website that handles auctions requires something a bit more sophisticated. I’d look into Dell or HP’s server selection. You won’t need top of the line server hardware when you’re just starting out, but as your webpage becomes more popular, you’ll need more servers. It’s not really a factor of how powerful each server is so much as if you have enough to support how many users you have. Each server can support a certain number of users based on how much data your website needs to load (which is why sites with tons of users like eBay and Google have very simple interfaces), and how powerful the hardware that the server has inside it is. Obviously more powerful servers can handle more users, but you will almost always want to simply add another server onto your current bank than replace your old one.
