Around 10,500 or so.
I went to a GM dealer the other day and he offered me the chance to check out the GM Online Auction. He said the prices are the best you are going to get but that could just be the salesman in him talking. The point of the auctions is GM has a 3rd party check out the car and post everything about the car. Once you agree to buy it, it’s yours even though you havn’t even seen it in real life. That’s why the prices are supposed to be so good.

The dealer told me it’s the listed cost + $1,400 for fee’s (and i’m guessing some profit for them).
They said if there is more than $400 in damage that was not described, then you can refuse the car.
I actually used to be a buyer for a major dealership. All I did was buy cars for the lots. Be very careful. You need to educate yourself on auctions system and rules. Because if you do not like the car after you buy it you are pretty stuck. Except for major issues like frame damage that was not disclosed in advance you will not be able to return the car. Also I hope you know what the dealer is doing is ILLEGAL. Those auctions are not open to the public BY LAW. You have to have a dealers license to bid and or buy. I have seen dealers bring customers to auctions or buy a car for them from an online sale and they can loose their license and get a huge fine if caught. The public is not suppost to involved with the auction process at all. And sense you do not know how it works I would advize you to stay out of it. The dealer can take advantage of you very easily. Also I would be careful of something that sounds too good to be true. Some auctions do not have to disclose everything that is wrong with the cars. Buying a car site unseen is not a good idea.
You see them on TV and I’m sure they are held all over the place, but how do you actually participate in one? I’ve heard that you can walk around a lot full of cars, but to attend the auction itself, you have to be part of some double super secret organization?
You can go to any public auction. And most of them are free.

I have been seeing great GREAT deals on the property room online auction and cant belive my eyes. Is this too good to be true?
Yes, they are and sometimes you can get some great deals/
I would like to buy and sell, maybe, 6 to 10 cars a year. Do I have to have an actual dealer’s license in order to attend the dealers’ auction? Or is there a way around this?
If you are wanting to sell 6 to 10 cars a year in most states you are consider a dealer. Check with your local DMV. A dealer auction is for dealers. Now their are some places that have auctions open to the public. Has you local auction center. In some states if you can sell up to 5 cars a year without a dealer lic. Once again, check with your local DMV.
I need a car really bad ~ i’m planning to buy a car within a week, but i dun want to buy it from a retailer. My paraent brought a very nice car through Alameda car auction, so i’m thinking if there’s more of these kind of auctions. Please tell me, or give me a list. ur own experience would be appraciated. I’m live in Oakland, so don’t give me auction that’s in LA. Thank you ~ !^^
My cousion and I got a car from and acution two years ago mines was an 03′ and hers is an 04′ they were both in good condition when we got them and still is, of course nothing beets a brand new car but the is a pretty good second choice, it’s probably best to get it from a dealer who got it from and actution unless you know what your doing. We got ours from an old freind of my mothers, he’s pretty trustworth when it comes to business his place is in Oakland on Fairfax and the lil shop has a white BMW in the WIndow! GOOD LUCK darling!!!
I want to know is ther any online information or website which can provide me the details or verification of the vehicles if they are genuine or not in india?
should be what you need. dealerlicense.com
what kind of digital camera will you suggest for simple pics of objects to put up on online auctions? i want something simple, nothing too expensive or fancy. just something that could take a nice, clear picture of an object, close up and afar. im not going to use it for family pics or try and make memories with it, i just want one for this specific task.
For objects photographed from a distance of 3-4 feet, absolutely any digital camera and any "digital photographer" can get a suitable image. Don’t forget that the largest picture eBay will display (unless you are hosting your own images) is 800 x 800 pixels or less than 1 megapixel. For jewelry or other small items, you have to learn macro technique. You can also do this with almost any digital camera, but here’s an article that I wrote about jewelry in specific. I am sure that you will find it helpful.
The best way to take photos of jewelry for a web site is with a digital SLR and a macro lens. If you are not going to go with a DSLR, almost any point and shoot with a macro mode will serve you well. The thing is, I feel that you need to use the flash to force the aperture to close while still having enough light for an exposure. Many here will tell you different, but follow this advice and see what you think.
Use your macro setting and experiment. Let’s say you have a point and shoot camera with macro and a flash on the camera. You might have to go to a manual mode to do this, but…
Put your item on a nice background surface. I like to just put it in a ring box or on some velour. Zoom out at least half-way so that you will be working about a foot away from the ring. Be sure that you get focus confirmation. Shoot a picture USING flash. Check the LCD for the result. If you have overexposed the item, use the EV adjustment to reduce the exposure. For small items, I often find that I need to reduce the exposure by about 1.0 EV. (That’s -1.0 EV.) It is better to have the item properly exposed and the background underexposed, so just worry about the jewelry for now. Using a deliberate underexposure will cure the "too shiny" appearance of the stones and metal.
If you know how, you can use either full manual exposure or just Aperture Priority and choose a smaller aperture (larger number) to make the ring show up in better focus.
If you have a DSLR, post your question again stating the kind of camera that you have and the lens that you are using and we will give more details.
If you are doing any image processing at all, such with Photoshop or it’s cousins, you can crop the image to 800 pixels by 800 pixels and use Supersize images on eBay. I always use the Picture Pack when I am selling anything of any value.
Check out http://www.members.aol.com/swf08302/heartring.jpg which I did a while ago using a Nikon Coolpix 5400 exactly as described above. I do NOT think this is acceptable, but we decided not to sell the ring anyhow, so I didn’t bother to do a better job. It’s still better than some I’ve seen. I don’t keep old photos of sold items around, so I don’t have much to show you, but at least you know that it’s possible to get an acceptable result even without spending huge dollars on your equipment.
The key things to remember are:
-Macro setting
-Zoom out to get about a foot away from your subject
-Use flash
-Try different EV settings and expect that you will end up with a negative EV setting, such as -1.0 EV.
I happen to have some photos from old auctions on an FTP site. I think that these were all taken with a 3 MP Nikon Coolpix 885.

Here are a couple of coin photos done exactly as described, but using a D200:

I did these with my Nikon Coolpix 4600, just to show you what a really inexpensive camera can do. It’s a 4 MP camera that I paid about $150 for a couple of years ago.

Here are a couple more auction photos done as described, using a 60 mm macro lens on a DSLR:

If you are interested in a full description of an SLR set-up, post a new question and ask specifically for that information. I’m gathering from the nature of your question that you might be in the point and shoot market.
